I’m an extremely sentimental person and today happens to my little sister’s birthday!! (Little in our sorority) Ahhhh I wish I could be out in Cali to celebrate with Jasmine/Jaz/Jiz/N.U.T.J.O.B (and all of her other nicknames) right now. I decided to put together a collage of our pictures through the years and it made me SO sad that I don’t get to see her as often as I would like, but it makes me appreciate the time that we do have together and all the memories we’ve made through the years.
I met Jasmine at UT my senior year of college in 2005. She was a Freshman and I was a Senior. She happened to be living across the hall from a few of my friends and we clicked instantaneously. She joined my sorority and became my little and we were inseparable ever since. She pretty much lived with me in my apartment my senior year and I can honestly say I have never had that much fun-From Hurricane parties to Gasparilla and just dancing the night away up to my graduation!!!!! When I left school, I felt like I had abandoned her but luckily I’ve stayed in touch with her through the years. I can’t believe how long I’ve known my little nugget. Time flies!
My favorite thing about Jasmine is her resilience. Even if she doesn’t feel strong all the time she is a brave, strong and wonderful person and I couldn’t be more proud of her!!!! She’s currently out in Cali working her butt off in grad school- getting all A’s I’m sure. She’s a smart little cookie.
To my dearest Little, I hope you eat a giant cookie cake today and that all your wishes come true for a wonderful and fulfilling year because YOU deserve it!!!! I wish we could go back to the days of sitting out on the porch drinking wine and relaxing during one of our Hurricane days off from school. I’ll treasure those memories forever and I cannot wait for another Cali visit. I love and miss you OH so much, cheers to a Happy Happpppy Birthday!
Cheers to lifelong friendship and new memories!
